Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Yale's GEPN program for the fall 2023 start.
Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions and offer guidance and support to other candidates. Please be respectful and kind and remember that this is a long, exhausting, expensive, stressful journey for lots of people. Let's do our best to uplift and help each other. Good luck!
I haven’t gotten anything. An email or an update. Im assuming they let the acceptances out first and rejections out later? So weird considering I was on the waitlist last year and have gotten an interview each application cycle. Thankfully I got into Vanderbilt but really was hoping to get into Yale.

What specialties did you two apply to? I wonder if some specialties got the II's sent sooner? I was AGPCNP and I received one, and it sounds like family med and peds have. I wonder if other specialties are being slower? There's still a day before the historic deadline, so there may still be hope!
Im CNM/WHNP. They seem to be really impacted this year for that specialty so I thought it was just taking them awhile but that doesn’t seem to be the case since another person in that specialty got an invite.
Is anyone planning on calling tomorrow if they don’t hear back? Not sure what to do LOL

I submitted my application for the AGACNP specialty before the extended deadline.

I actually sent out an email.
I submitted before the extended deadline as well. Actually didn't even realize they extended the deadline until I saw they werent accepting any CNM apps after the extension. It freaked me out thinking they werent accepting them AT ALL this year. They told me I was in the clear and would be reviewed fully. So not sure what the deal is…. Again, especially since I was waitlisted this year. Just seems so odd

How many times have you applied? I know they don't accept applications for a fourth time.
Correct. This is my third (and final). First time I was interviewed and they told me they actually fought about my application. Some wanted to accept me but committee ultimately decided not to because my recommender filled out the recommendation incorrectly. Felt it was unfair to other applicants. Second time was interview and waitlist. Told me I should improve on one specific aspect of my app to make me slightly more competitive, which I did. And this year….. no interview at all I guess?

Cool. I'm Adult Primary Care. I think the times were dependent on the faculty.
