Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Yale's GEPN program for the fall 2023 start.

Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions and offer guidance and support to other candidates. Please be respectful and kind and remember that this is a long, exhausting, expensive, stressful journey for lots of people. Let's do our best to uplift and help each other. Good luck!

I certainly hope they would notify everyone who applied when decisions are made-- this scholarship could be make-or-break for people who are still deciding to attend or not

my school offers anatomy and phys as separate courses and only anatomy had a lab. so I'm assuming I'll have to retake it. I also took animal physiology WITH a lab so I'm not sure what will count LOL!

Ooh that's tricky to tell! I know a lot of schools offer them as separate courses, so there could be some grace there. I'd recommend you reach out with course descriptions to see if they would allow that! My school didn't even offer anatomy+physiology so I had to take it at a local college haha.

FYI I got an email from admissions that community scholars decisions will be posted in the next 1-2 days (I reached out)

Does anyone know if the community scholars application takes into account your entire application? Or it it just based on the essays?

I had assumed they were taking the full application into account? Particularly I would assume that each applicant's resume / prior activities would seem pretty relevant to their decision making process, but I don't know for sure!

I was wondering if we would also be notified if we did not get the scholarship ... thats a lot of decisions to send out!

Got an email this morning that I did not get the community scholars scholarship. congrats to everyone who did!!

from which email address did it come from, by chance? I have not received any email at all regarding the scholarship, so I am trying to check my spam folder in case.

It's weird because I never even got an email from them when I was accepted, but this came thru
