Yale GEPN 2023

Published

Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Yale's GEPN program for the fall 2023 start.

Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions and offer guidance and support to other candidates. Please be respectful and kind and remember that this is a long, exhausting, expensive, stressful journey for lots of people. Let's do our best to uplift and help each other. Good luck!

I was counting on the community scholarship (tough shot, of course!), and although I did receive some scholarship amount from Yale, I am worried about covering the remaining cost of the tuition and living. certainly something to think about!

My letter said that they were still making decisions about Community Scholars and that we should find out within the next week, did yours say something more definitive?

they stated at the bottom of my letter that decisions for Community Scholars are not finalized and will be released within the next week.

Was your scholarship amount in your acceptance letter?

yes, mine was included in my acceptance letter !

In for Nurse-Midwifery/WHNP! I am beyond thrilled and so badly hoping I can make it work to join many of you in the fall!

Sending big, warm hugs to those with tough news today. I've heard LOTS of people say they did not get in the first year they applied, they asked for feedback on their applications and then got in on the second round. So, if Yale is your dream, stick with it!

Did anyone else apply to the Community Scholars program and NOT have anything in their acceptance letter about those decisions being outstanding? I did receive a merit scholarship, but there is no mention of the Community Scholars program and I did apply on time.

My other acceptances included generous merit scholarships, so disappointing that Yale offered none. Going to be a hard decision.

I did not have community scholar information in my acceptance letter, but I did not apply for one at the first place

I didn't apply either, but assumed there would be some scholarship money in general.
