Yale GEPN 2021

Published

Hey all! I am reapplying and wanted to create this for everyone applying. I won't be as involved as I was last year, but good luck to everyone! I know they're having seminars and allowing people to schedule one on one consultations for applications.

Mine is next week as well, good luck to everyone this week and the next ?. It's been such a pleasure talking to everyone and would love for us to bond like this as admitted students, fingers crossed. Wishing love, light and most importantly, calm heads during the interview.

Yes! Good luck everyone!!

Hi everyone,

Well wishes for all those who are interviewing this week as well as next week. Apply advice (tips) that have been given, be yourself and BE confident. We got this! ?

Good luck and best wishes to everyone interviewing! We're one step closer to becoming APRNs!

I just wanted to share that I just had my interview! I'm still shaking due to nerves. Best wishes to you all in your interviews!

Specializes in PMHNP Student.

My interview was very chill. The interviewer was wonderful, and the questions were fair and somewhat tailored to my application/me.

Has anyone been rejected after an interview?

That's great to hear. And must feel good to have it done! Mine's tomorrow and at this point I can't take any more stressing about it.

Congrats, it's over! Was yours fairly conversational as well?

We'll all hear a decision (admit, deny, or waitlist) at the same time (first week of February).

I had mine this morning as well. Not sure how it went. It was conversational, relaxed and the interviewer was wonderful. But because she was so lax, I couldn’t really get a feel of how well it went. The questions were all things we had anticipated, no curveballs. I went in super shaky and nervous but honestly my interviewer set such a chill tone that I was able to relax.

Mine was also fairly conversational as well. However, I think I overthought things, and didn’t study what she ultimately asked. The interview portion lasted about 15 minutes, and then I asked questions, which lasted 15 minutes. She said there were over 100 applicants, and 50-60 interviews, FYI.

50-60 for all specialities? For some reason that sounds low. I thought the typical cohort had about 100 students... I wonder what the number of admitted will be

I got the same info, but she went further and told me (15 mins ago) that from there they pick about 15 for each specialty. So, ~25% admitted?

Also- not feeling super confident after my interview (from my own behavior, not anything she said.) getting emotional support Mexican food as I type this ??
