Like midwifery students of past years, I as well have fallen in love with Yale's GEPN Midwifery program. This question is about the personal statement.
Ive been told that this is the most important part of the application, and that it should tell your story. This was said by Dr. Korevec during the informational, so I'm fairly confident in knowing that's what they want. It should explain why Yale and why nursing. However, whenever someone proofreads my personal statement, they know I'm applying to Yale and say it reads too much like a story and not like a college application essay. It's happened like 3 times and now I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

I felt OK, but now im feeling a bit anxious. does anyone know when they will notify us? I didn't get a notification that I got selected to interview; I actually got an interview invite first and THEN I checked the application to see the interview letter! it was a little backwards...I hope your interviews have gone well and that we can meet in the fall of 2019!

I asked the person who interviewed me and she said that we should find out in late January or early February. She isn't in admissions though.

My interviewer said that Yale's application and admission process has been much earlier and faster than it has been in past years, so we could get something as early as mid-December!

That would be insane!!!!! I don't think I'm getting into Yale given that I bombed my interview (it's ok I did way better with Vanderbilt) but it will be nice to know either way and nice for those who get in!

These interviews are so hard to gauge! I'm sure you did much better than you think you did! I basically blacked out for mine...so I have no idea, haha. I applied for Vandy too (for PMHNP) and I am waiting for interview notifications still.

Haha! I bet we did great this process is just anxiety inducing.
There is a Vandy thread on all nurses also, not sure if you are on it? I've noticed other PMHNP haven't heard about an interview yet either.
Long time thread stalker here. I decided to finally post to see if there are any AGAC (acute care) applicants? I just received an interview invite and curious if any other applicants to this specialty have interviewed/ are scheduled to interview.
I applied for AGAC and had my interview a couple weeks ago. My interviewer was really friendly and it went well! We chatted about what you'd think we'd talk about - why I applied, why this specific program, what I like about Yale. It was very conversational!
Mine was also scheduled for 30 and went on for 50ish. Hopefully no one was waiting after me since it was pretty early in the afternoon. Try to schedule time around the interview just in case!
