Hi everyone! Now that applications are starting to open for this cycle I thought I would start a thread. Is there anyone else that is starting the Yale GEPN application? If so, are you as overwhelmed as I am? Also, if there are any current GEPN students that see this thread, feel free to share any tips or your current experiences :) Thank you!
Hi everyone! I'm also applying to the GEPN for the CNM/WHNP specialty. Currently trying to motivate myself to write my essay. I have a lot of what I hope is good experience and, of course, tons to say about why I want to be a midwife, but when I sit down to actually put it on paper, my mind goes blank...
Hi Guys! I am also applying to the Yale GEPN program. I am currently writing my personal statement and its so difficult! Definitely a challenge. I also am applying to/ have applied to UPENN, Columbia, Boston College, Azusa Pacific University. Good luck to everyone!
I think it is supposed to be for any explanations for any aspects of your application. Ex. if you have lower GPA or GRE scores or fired from a job, etc. Anything you want to add to you application that there is no space for. Except for the things they mentioned you should not upload (awards, honors, additions to the personal statement, letters of recommendation, etc.)

Jaysh106, I definitely thought the essay portion was the most difficult part...I ended up trying to get all of the pertinent info in there to answer the questions, and then read it over and realized I sounded like a robot. I'd say I was up to 9-10 full revisions by the end! It just took time but I was so pleased with it when I finished! My only advice is to simply start without worrying about guidelines and to get all of your thoughts on the (virtual) page. Best of luck!
