I found out I have an interview on the 24 but also have one for ucsf that day! I really would rather do it in person. I wonder if they use skype.

I am considering politely asking to reschedule one of my interviews as I am scheduled for Yale and ucsf the same day..... anyone with advice on that. They seem pretty strict about not asking to reschedule. .

I am debating about whether to do phone interview or not. I would like to do it in-person, but I don't really want to spend all day there (check in at 8am, orientation, and interview at 4pm). Anyone know if we are allowed to bring a spouse with us to orientation?

Here's what may seem to many to be a rather basic, stupid question: What does one wear to a nursing school interview? Business attire? Tuxedo? I'm lost. Anyone have any advice for a lost and clueless guy (notwithstanding the avatar)?

Hey I don't think there's anything wrong with that question! I know I've heard that most women wear suits so I think you need a suit? I wish I could be more helpful! Better to dress up? What specialty?

Thanks for the advice. A business suit was what I was thinking but I wanted to see what others thought. I'm an applicant to the psych/mental health track (as I'm guessing you are). My interview is on the 31st and I'm making the long trek from the west coast to be there in person.

I wish I was the 31st! I'm so bummed I have UCSF on the same day and have to somehow do Yale by phone and attend UCSF. Did you apply there as well? I can't wait to meet all the psych people. It will be amazing to be surrounded by people with the same dreams

Hi all,

I would definitely wear a suit... I had some other interviews and everyone (females and males) were in suits. I live about an hour away but I will be out of town at the time of my interview. I want to see if I can reschedule it but the website seems very clear that interviews cannot be rescheduled (eek)! Is anyone else interviewing for Pediatric NP?

Sw1234 I don't know how to go about asking to reschedule either! I'm scared it will come off as obnoxious because the page so explicitly states interviews cannot.

I agree... although I left a message on Friday explaining that I will be out of the country and that I might not even have access to a phone... which is true... unless I use my cell phone and potentially pay for roaming fees to be on the phone. Very frustrating because I live so close to the school and would like to be able to go there in person. However, they offer the phone option because they know that not everyone is able to make the in person interview. I do not think it will impact their decision!
