I do not do drugs, I however just started taking xanax prn, which is like 3-5 pills a week.

I am having some serious anxiety.

I want to get a contingent job but wondering if that will show up in a drug test and I will fail.

yes it will show up in a drug test and you will fail - it shows up as a benzodiazapine. You need to inform your potential employer of these kinds of drugs prior to taking the position.

If you have a script for it, you should be good. You should have the opportunity to list any current scripts whenever you take a drug test. Just be sure to take the current script bottle with you to the drug screen.

if you have a prescription then stop worrying. you will be just fine!

It would only be a problem if you didn't have a script. Just let the person giving you the test know ahead of time and declare everything you are taking.

Agreed...no problem if you are using it as prescribed and if you have proof it was prescribed (the bottle, not out-of-date).
