WSSU 2020 ABSN

Just wanted to see if anyone was applying to WSSU ABSN program? Wanted to see where folks were applying/possibly planning to move from, and what is your general work background?

I'm from Winston Salem, with both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. I've done some work as a social worker in the mental health, hospital case management setting and also on the insurance side of social work. Good luck to everyone on submitting applications!!!

It was probably the University letter so don’t stress. I have friends in the program now and others who applied to this cohort & no one has had anything from the nursing department specifically come. So everyone is good lol we just have to be patient.

& by having the letter earlier (from the University that is) it was the same for me a week ago. If you applied online there’s a link to your decision once it has been made on your ramadmissions portal and you can view it that way.

@daniele11 Correct! I received my acceptance to the university on 10/11. However nothing from the nursing program.

Sounds like it’s the same email from the university then because she received an email today saying she would receive and official letter through the mail

Whew ?!! Ok...that’s good to know. I was a little stressed for a second lol

Hey, I know you all have not heard back from the program. I know once you find out your acceptance things can get hectic since you'll have about 60 days to get prepared for the program. If anyone is looking for a place to stay, I live in Winston Salem and I am looking to sublet my spot starting January 2020.

I heard that they are waiting to see who all applied into the University before sending out announcements. That’s just hearsay so I’m not 100%.
