Absolutely, sometimes there isn't paper handy when you need to remember important numbers!

Those perforated pieces of cardboard that come off when you open a new clean box of kleenex make great notepads!

Positively, when there's nothing else available to write on, I use the palm of my left hand.

Laffs...I do this all the time. I write vitals, blood sugars, presription refil numbers. My boyfriend is always threatening to buy me a notepad on a string that I could wear around my neck...

:roll I totally agree with you. My left hand is always ending up with something written on it. No better notepad...at least it never get's lost:lol2:

Always! My patients laugh, but I tell them I can't leave my hand behind in the room, like paper!! It also forces me to write the stuff down right away where it should be, before I wash my hands! :)

Not only do I note on myself at work but if I'm someplace other than work, out of habit, if I can't find a scrap of paper I don't think twice and just write on my hand or arm. The other day I bumped into someone I haven't seen in years in the mall and (only had my ATM card, DL and car keys with me) wrote her # on my hand. She said,"you must be a nurse! Onl nurses do that."

I once used a permenant marker (only pen I had at the time) and 2 weeks later still had the vs on my palm

When no paper is available, a hunk of tape from the roll in my pocket afixed to my thigh by way of my scrubs (I know where this was headed if I did not clarify that :chuckle) makes a great pad...or you may find the tape on my sleeve. When all else fails....my hand works wonders...then there is the 2x2 pkg too :)
