I just turned in my application, transcripts, and application fee and I'm now officially on the wait list for the ADN program. That was way too easy. It's probably an 18-24 month wait, but that's perfect considering I'm due next month or early December and won't really be up for school right away.
Crazy. I'm (sort of) in nursing school!

Congrats! Er, kind of. LOL!
Got my letter. Until they get my transcripts and see that I've completed all of the general ed stuff, I guess I'm considered pre-program, but those should arrive next week or so, and then unless I have to take Speech, I only have the core classes left. Woo!
To top it all off, I went to the witch doctor yesterday after my OB and the ER doc could do nothing for this hideous, alarming pain I was having, and I am totally pain free. Even my back, which has hurt me for *years* is better. My dad would say, "What an astonishing coincidence!" and that's fine, but placebo, coincidence, or honest-to-dog fixedness, I don't care. I don't even feel pregnant! that's saying something, believe me.
Ahhh. It's a good day.
Glad your back is feeling so much better! What kind of "witch doctor" helped you so much?
Craniosacral therapy. Total voodoo, but it worked. The entire shape of my belly changed from oblique ovoid to nice and round like it should be. And man alive, can I feel the difference. Monday: massage.
Oh, and Smacky's head is settled nicely in my pelvis, instead of his/her shoulder. Bonus!
I've been having CST treatments for years. I don't think they are voodoo at all. :) The guy who developed the treatment was a D.O. and he really understood the spine. I can go into a CST session with my pelvis all out of alignment (a continuing issue I have) and come out of it realigned and feeling great. So I am not surprised you're feeling so much better! The great thing about CST when you are pregnant is that it's so gentle and you're not taking any medications.
Life is good. :)
Life is great! It's totally not voodoo, but I call her my witch doctor, so it's all of a piece.
I am having back twinges but I think that's just because it's nearly impossible to find a comfy position at this point. Once I'm up for a few minutes, it loosens up nicely, but I'll probably go back and see her next week. I think between that and my massage tomorrow, I'm going to be flying high.
I'm starting to think that if I'd had this done with Dude, he'd have been born a lot sooner than he was. Crap!
