Well, I took my NCLEX on Wed. After the first few questions it felt like the nightmare where you go to take a test that you have never even seen the material for. It was asking about meds I'd never heard of (including one that is just in trials in Europe), procedures that were 40 letters long and I had never heard of. Anyway, I left the test feeling like a puppy that had been kicked and was so upset because I was sure I failed. It shut off at 75, by the way. I was convinced I had bombed it badly. And after doing 3000+ practice questions, working so hard in nursing school, and taking the Kaplan review course I WAS BUMMED! I found out on Friday that I passed my boards!!!!!!!! My Kaplan instructor said it's a good sign if you can't apply the Decision Tree and the questions seem really hard because that means you're doing well. I don't get the whole NCLEX deal with how they grade it or any of that but I'm glad it's over. I PASSED MY NCLEX!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all of you who have given me support by letting me read your postings. It really helped me through school and the boards.

I don't believe she ever did smile. Maybe when she was soothing a soldier or rubbing their feet to make them feel better. Seems kind of un-therapeutic to be so formal, but then again that was a different day and age.
