Worst Case Scenarios and Emergency Situations

Name all the worst case scenario and/or emergency situations. Ex: Thyroidectomy you know to look for frequent swallowing because of hemorrage. Ottitis Media you know menegitits is worst case scernaio. Also NMS with certain psych drugs. That thing I forgot the name that you can get if your allergic to the i think anesthesia during surgery that you get really hot. Taking NCLEX soon and I notice with certain questions especially signs and symptoms and after procedures and medications they give you clues to see if you are critically thinking about what I definietly need to look for

Malignant hyperthermia is the condition that can occur in the OR under anesthesia where a pt has an elevated temp, hypertension and tachycardia.

for the thyroidectomy part i think its not frequent swallowing , its fever for thyroid storm or stridor as for respiratory distress as post op thyoidectomy and frequest swallowing is for tonsillectomy as a sign of bleeding..
