I felt that the best part of nursing school was the friends I have made for life and at the end of the line I now believe in myself more then ever and believe I am smart. :balloons:

Clinicals as a whole. I hated adult med/surg and knew that I would never want to do that type of nursing, which made clinicals (which were mostly adult med/surg) a very long and miserable process for me. I knew, though, that the end would justify the means, so I just found a way to endure them until graduation.
Pathophysiology. SOOO much information. Our professor was a pathologist who also taught patho at the medical school. He was very thorough and I learned SO MUCH in that class, but at the time, I was sure my brain was going to explode from all the information
Nursing theory -
My clinical group would go out to lunch together at a nice restaurant after our last clinical day each semester. We had a blast.
Pharmacology. It was my favorite, so I think that helped me to do well.
Went fine for me. I held the same philosophy then that I do now: nothing and nobody gets in the way of my sleep time. That philosophy has served me well throughout my nursing career, most of which has been spent working nights. I am very protective of my sleep time. The better you take care of yourself, the better you are able to take care of others. The opposite is true as well.

Being told the day of my first semester final exam, "Look around because half of you won't be here next semester". They were right!
Prereqs, hands down for me was Anatomy, not becasue of content, but I hated dissecting that cat. Chemistry was also horrible for me. The actual nursing course that I found the hardest was Psych and Maternity.
Anything that pertained to math, my weakest subject. I also hated all the stupid classes I had to take like Art History.
The wonderful life long friendships I have made.
The humanities classes were a breeze for me.
what about SLEEP??? How did that go?
Pretty much nonexistent when I started the actual nursing program. I probable averaged about 5 hours a night the whole time. I laid in bed for three days after I graduated.

My worst experience in nursing school were the untrue things the first nursing textbook I studied from said about "taking care of the Black patient". I made a formal complaint about it, and the textbook was banned the next quarter. I was allowed to correct the textbook by explaining to the students in my rotation some truths to go by instead of what the textbook taught.
The hardest class was "the weeding out quarter" - Nursing 125.
The class I hated the most was my three credit hour computer class. Boring...passed with a high C but I just couldn't focus on it enough to get through it. I hated sitting at a computer learning about all the stuff. Now look at me..."queen of the computer" today. :rotfl:
Best memories about nursing................the friends I made, the study groups we formed...the fun we had...the great instructors I had (except for one, but I still learned a valuable lesson from her...so I gave her the respect she was due anyway); and my clinicals. :)
The easiest class for me was psyche, microbiology, alliedhealth math, drugs & calculations, and pharm. :)
As for "SLEEP".....I slept little, studied much.
Speaking of sleep......night all! Sweet dreams to everyone!

The worst experience for me was OB clinicals. I had amiotic fluid flung all over me.
My hardest class was Pysch Nursing interventions.
My class I hated the most was Pysch Nursing Interventions.
My best memories are the times my classmates and my instructors would go out to the local pub together.
My easiest class was Principles of Effective Learning (it was required)
As far as sleep went, it all depended. I was working full time nights so that cut down on my sleep. We also had clinicals 2 hours away from my home so that also cut down on my sleep. Because of the lack of sleep during nursing school, I can now function on 2 hours or less of sleep.
