Hello everyone. I was wondering, is it detrimental to my job as an RN if I am also stripping on the side for additional money? Can I be fired for this? I know there are morality issues (for some) and such with this, but is it legally wrong? I live in southern California by the way. The salary as I make as a stripper is far greater than any nursing job out there. The reason I'm also working as a nurse is for the benefits, retirement, and job security when I'm older and can no longer strip.
... Most people recognize the huge difference between stripping and *Media*....
I do not see a huge difference. And yes, I have seen both of these activities.
I believe they are close together on the same spectrum of sexual behavior considered to be out of the norm of "good moral conduct."

"Good moral conduct" according to whose moral standard?
The difference between Media and stripping IS huge in that Media exposes one to a variety of job-concerning potential risk in the form of transmissable STD's. And while nurses can certainly do their jobs with diseases- it's considered a risky behaviour- whereas the riskiest thing with stripping is falling off the pole. (Assuming one has the sense to work in a club with good security.)

I believe it is safe and reasonable to say that mainstream opinion in the United States is that stripping and Mediaography are not consistent with good moral conduct. You can deny that and disagree all you like, but you are out of the mainstream opinion. I'm not getting into rightness or wrongness. That is a separate issue.
Nor I. IMHO as always.
I'm really not sure what your deal is- I merely expessed an opinion and experience that differs from your own and you apparantly felt the need to make insulting comments. If that floats your boat- well- ok then... I find meditation is alot more effective for whatever personal issues you may be dealing with- but- whatever. *shrugs*

Media, yes. Stripping- debateable. The societal climate is alot different these days. Around here it's not viewed as an "immoral" thing. That could very well be regional- as I do not live in the "Bible Belt".
Not at all. We disagree. I drink my cool aid, you drink yours. Pretty simple IMHO.
I found the comment insulting. Disagreement is one thing- being disagreeable is another. I found your comment to be in the realm of 'disagreeable'. If that's not your intention- OK- whatever- but do be aware of how you come across to others.

Hmmm, ok then. I will continue to drink my cool aid from the other container, if it's all the same to you.
