I was wondering about the med test for nursing , I heard its basic , but when i took a look at the practice test it was alots of grains etc (haven't done that in years - also gtts - never use it ) Do you know the link to the practice test as I lost it. Many Thanks

Just type Los Angeles County Medical Center and let Google search it for you.

Once you get into their web site. If you look carefully, You should see the practice test. I saw it a few days ago. Yeah...a lot of grains and gtts.

tried that can't seem to find it .

tried that can't seem to find it .

I saw it and I downloaded it from their website. I even saved a copy in my computer.

I will see what I can do for you. Stay tune!

tried that can't seem to find it .

Here you go...

Type "los angeles county medical center" in Google and let it search it for you.

You should see "County of Los Angeles-Department of Health Services."

Right on the top of their website. You should see "Employment." Click it!

After you click it, you should see "Nursing recruitment" ....(on your left hand side)

Now, you have to open up "Nursing Recruitment" by clicking it.

Also on you left hand side after you open up "Nursing Recruitment," You should see the following: "Medication Calculation Exam (MCE) Study Guide."

Once you open up the MCE, you can save a copy in the hard-drive of your computer. It is up to you if you don't want to save it. You can also print it out.

Hopefully, we will be working side by side in the future! Good luck! :lol2:

Most facilities do not hire the agency nurses/travel nurses inasmuch as it is a part of the agreement/contract between the agency and the facility/medical center. Good luck!

I had a civil interview at Olive View a few months ago. I just walked in and applied. They told me they're no longer doing the test. I recently got my interview results, i passed and now I'm waiting for a position to open up. I had a copy of the self-study guide.

Hope this helps.

wooosp, congrats on the Olive View application & interview. Keeping my fingers crossed for you & hopefully, who knows, we may actually end up working together one day! p.s. thank you so much for posting the file--I just printed it out & am going to start studying it. I really appreciate it.

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you.
