There has been a little off topic activity on another thread so I guess it's time for the 2015 work thread
Please introduce yourself, and post about your jobs for the year. Share opportunities, and network.
I'm Big Al. I am an LPN who has been working at a PA summer camp for the past four seasons. I am currently negotiating my contracts for 2015. My wife and I have a new baby so my usual summer job cannot house us. I am persuing other opportunities right now, and hope to sign a contract by next week.
I will be returning back to Camp Vacamas in NJ, my 7 th year. It's 2 hours away from my home, so now since I have a full time job at a Level 1 Trauma hospital . I go once a week and stay 2 days, my kids stay all summer. It gives me a break and they get to return without me leaving my job
Hello I am doing a one week police cadet academy camp ages 13-21 end of July. New experience for me but I'm excited I looked up the meds on the list I don't use at work. Reviewed insect bites sun burns etc. Any other suggestions? 400 campers one other nurse 24/7 on call. It's at a local university.
Hello! NP from Ohio here. Going to a camp in Maine this year. They have a whole summer, 8 week option and then two four week sessions, and some can even go for two weeks. We ( my 8 and 10 year old) are going for the first 4 week session. My daughter and I went to a small girls camp in NC last summer. But this year wanted to include my son. They are super excited, as am I. I had some unexpectedly severe homesickness last year myself. I am hoping this year is better because both my kids will be there. My husband will be holding down the homestead alone. But I don't think I will miss him too much.

I'm pretty excited. I just signed with my old camp to come up for orientation. I do two weeks strong up my home of four years, then I come home and spend six weeks with the new program. Totally unexpected that it would work out so I could do both.
