Wish me luck, I will know if I get into LPN school on Feb. 17

Hi. I want to be a LPN. There is a community college nearby that will take applications on a first come first served basis. The school doors will open at 7am on Feburary 17. I know a lot of students are going to be there. The figures around 300 to 400 students for 50 open slots. Wish me luck. I am going to need it! :crying2:

Oh man!! Well you make sure you go there BRIGHT AND EARLY ok?? If it were me I'd be camping out the whole night before..whatever it takes to reach your dreams!! Let us know how you do!

I was thinking about doing that, getting there really early. But the thing is, that they are five entrances wide apart to go inside of the school and I have to stand in line in the inside of the school at a certain room number. The dean told me that this is the first time they did a first come, first served format. I got to talk to the school's janitor on which door they are they going to open first. You might see me running then, LOL! But I think my chances are very slim thou. :crying2:

Good luck to you!! Put on those running shoes! LOL That seems sort of a dumb format though. Why not take the best qualified out of all who show up?

Do you have to take an NET test? I'm thinking of applying to the LPN program here since I didn't make nursing school, but I would have to take the NET this Wednesday. I just took the NLN, so I'm peeved they won't accept those scores, but what can you do?

I agree, that's a dumb way to do it. Let's watch everyone fight their way into nursing school! I'm surprised they don't give you a test, look at grades, etc. Good luck, anyhow!

Hey everyone. The time is 10:30 pm on Feb. 16. I am going to go to that school and wait. It is going to be a long night. Hope I will be one of the first 50. Don't know what is going to happen but hopefully I will be. I will keep you updated. I hope it is going to be positive the next time I post.:crying2: :crying2:

:) I made it!!!I was number 13 and I told the janitor to open the door up so I can wait in line inside!! Well the battle is still not won yet since I have to graduate!! Thanks for the replies.

Now I have to concentrate on my A/P class. I have a B average but I did not do well on the lab practical exam yesterday. :crying2:
