I'm a pre nursing student and I asked like 7 questions and people have been on my back.
Now what is the point of that?
I even asked a question about being depressed and being in school and someone told me to quit complaining (we're going to assume that this person is in the field and not some troll)
But why?
Why bring down someone who is just trying to make better of their life?
Hi Upward Bound,
I think I understand what you are talking about. What I've realized is that some people don't have a lot of formal/informal training in professionalism. They are all over the world though. Asking questions can be a great thing, and should be encouraged. Often times people don't pay attention to the details of the questions being asked. Sometimes I take a chance and ask certain questions on here, but not often.
There is a disconnect with the fact that SOME of the information that you can search for in the forum is very old information...and you may just want an updated answer. Then when you ask, some people get mad and think that you are not doing any research, which is often not the case. If you are discouraged from asking questions, then the there is no need to come to the forum.
You will get a little better responses from places like Quora. On quora you can ask to your hearts desire, and get many good and well thought out responses :). I can give you some other sites if you want via inbox. Let me know if you are interested.
Unfortunately, in the great United States of the 'Merca, everybody gets offended. Especially on these forums. For example.. all for profit schools suck. And if you went to a for profit nursing school, and you come here whining about not getting a job, your dumb. Yeah, thats right... your DUMB. Did I offend you? Probably. Is it the truth? Yes. Does the truth suck sometimes? Hell yes it does.
