I got a letter today telling me I am being considered for inclusion to the 05/06 Who's Who List Among Executive and Profession Women in Nursing. Is this something that comes out to all women nurses? I just got my license- there is no reason for me to be getting this. Anyone know what this is about? -A
I got a similar letter and another for the national's dean list. As I logged on to the website mind you, it said to join for free blah blah blah and at the end "buy" the book where your name was to be printed
Yeah right! Even if it was true or a deal per say, I hate those kind of letters
Yea, I got one of those too. The letter is on my fridge and I am going to frame it after I graduate.
I am so gald they have such confidence in me given that I too, am a guy (hey, if women can join men's club, why not men joining women's club), but I am not an RN yet. Actually I am not even in nursing school. I am prenursing.
Such an encouraging letter. I will use it as part of my resume...

That is pretty funny, I wonder what data base they got your name from. Good luck in your pre nursing studies. Just a comment, you may not see what some of the courses have to do with nursing but trust me you will be able to use it. Nursing is no longer a women's club as a matter of fact men move up quicker because they do not have some of genetic and social characteristics of females. I am a female and I know.

I subscribed to a few nursing journal, that's probably where they got it.
Thanks for the encouragment. I liked all the courses so far for nursing (except chem). So I am enjoying it.

We had something like that in high school and it turned out that you had to pay to get your name in the book. I think that they are just out to get your money. They got mine when I was in High School! :chuckle By the way I love the quote about bacteria!

I think if you are a guy, your chances are a lot better for some reason as demonstrated here that there are a few guys who got this letter. I wonder who wrote the software to figure out who to send it to...

Probably the same people that do the High School version of Who's Who. Just send them your $75 and they will add your profile to their list.
