Who's taken the teas v?

And what did you think? I took it last week and feel like I was prepared for the Math and Reading portions by using the study guide but I really struggled with the Science portion. For me it was a lot of Chemistry and it's been a while since I've taken that course. I met the minimum requirements in each category for my program but it's the first year they're using the TEAS V (Last year they used the NET) so I'm not really sure what a competitive score is yet. Anyway I know there are different entrance tests and versions of the TEAS everyone is taking so I was just wondering how people felt about version V.

Actually, I don't think you should. You purchased the two practice tests plus the book, right? That's fine then, I thought you purchased just the BOOK for $85. That would have been wrong! The practice tests are great, they are worth it.

The TEAS V was hard compared to the version 4. Most of the people I know score in the 80's I wish I took it in the summmer. and yes I did purchase the ATI study guide version V it helped alot!!!!

Hi! I noticed it has been a few months since anyone has been on here talking about this. I am taking the TEAS V on Thursday and I am super nervous!! Everytime I take the practice exams my composite is about a 77 and I just don't feel comfortable with that. Does anyone have any additional study material that I could go over between now and Thursday? My weakest subject surprisingly was the Grammer. I find this hard to believe since I have always excelled at English. I also struggle with science which I expected since it has been a minute for Chemistry and its a tough subject for me. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated I am soooo nervous!!

hey i took the teas exam version 5 this morning here in new york, and i just retook the reading and math. those are the sections that i had to retake because i didn't pass those two. i hope it went well, i think it did better than the first time but you never know with these exams.

I took it last month (Dec 2010) and did not really prepare for it. I did on every section but the science and it was HARD. My school requires a minimum of 73 to get into the RN program and I got a 72.7 overall. I am talking it again in 2 weeks. I bought the ATI TEAS V study guide and have been reading it every night to prepare. I really hope to get a mid to high 80's score the next time.

hello the ATI study doesnt really have much information on physcis for TEAS V should i even go over it then?

So you can retake certain sections that you didn't do well on? I did well on math and reading, but need to improve my science and english scores....Can I keep the scores I did well on and just retake the others?

i have to take the reading in a few weeks... how is that section ? i have the study guide but people still say it's extremely hard!

I'm taking the TEAS V tomorrow. I have studied for about a week but not too hard. I'm nervous, but I'm usually a pretty good test taker. Wish me luck. I want to start TWU nursing school this fall.
