Who's ready to CELEBRATE?!?

My final is in 11 hours and I am READY! Just want to take it, then come home & SLEEP! I just found out my favorite prof from my CNA course is teaching seminar next semester, too!

Lori, my semester went well, and I just got my english paper grade today! Total course grade is an A! With my A in fundamentals, I need to pull a 37/50 to keep my A in seminar....going to do it and be an A student for the first time in years!

I, too, am suprised to look back and remember all I've learned this semester. I know there's much more to do, but I finally feel ready vs. overwhelmed like first 9 weeks.

Forget the eggnog, I'm bringing the whiskey! My break is spent doing xmas shopping and learning new job ropes....

I am so happy Pysch is over. I wouldn't be surprised if I get PTSD from it.

I was lucky not to have any truly horrible classes this semester, but I felt like that about chemistry last year. Just thinking about it now gives me hives. Sometimes it feels like we should get combat pay. :chuckle Congrats on making it through!

:roll Done with Health Assessment!!! Got an A!!! Now all I have to do is apply to get into our ADN program. I apply this January. I think I will get in; Have 5 As and 1 B. Gpa is 3.8. Have taken all prereqs and even all the classes that were optional. Plus our cc is building a new Health Science Center which will be ready to go in the fall of '07. They have hired more instructors, and can accomodate 10 more students than they could previously. They can now accept 70 nursing students vs 60. I have taken all my classes at this cc, and have mostly As and 1 B-missed an A in that by 1.5 points. The instructor called the nursing dept, and recommended that I be accepted to the program. The nursing faculty seems to think I have a very good chance of being admitted. Plus what nursing dept. would deny the vice pres. of the campus Phi Theta Kappa chapter admission to their program? Not tooting my own horn, just trying to relax and calm down after a challenging class. This class was VERY under-instructed. The teacher seemed to just show up, give the lecture, show the films, and let us practice assessments w/o any guidance as to how to perform the assessments. We weren't even shown how to take a blood pressure. Now for you students inclinicals and previous practice, that may not seem like a big deal, but for someone who just showed up to learn how to perform assessments, I would have liked a LITTLE more in the hands on instruction. Oh, well, wish me luck with the admissions process.

Just finished my psychosocial final and got 100%. Ended with an A in all classes: Fundamentals, Pharmacology, and Psychosocial. Clinical and lab are pass/fail and those I passed! I need a break!!! Getting married this weekend and then off to Hawaii!!!!!!!!!!

YES! I finished my last final today! it was my patho/pharm, of course they saved the best to last! So far I know i definitely have 2 As. Best case scenario 3As & a B. Worst case-2As, B & C. I'll find out soon. I'm just relieved that my first semester is done! I don't think I was this excited when I graduate hs! It's amazing how quickly it flew by. But on the other hand I compare the person I am now to the person I was when I started & that makes me think it was a long time! I'm just ready for my trip to FL & a few wks of breathing time. Then, off to ob & medsurg I go!

I just took (and passed!) HESI. Our school, the wonderful planners that they are, saved the best for last! :uhoh3: I very specifically asked an instructor, "Can I say I'm a GN now?" and she said of course! My pinning is tomorrow evening. Between now and then, I think I'm going to clean up all the textbooks on my bedroom floor and put them on the bookshelf for a while.

:balloons: I am.... I just passed Med Sug I with a B- Not as high as many of you on here but I am just glad to be done with it. It is now on to Psych and Oncology. Only 2 semesters left!!!!! Wooohoooooo...... Congrats to all who are celebrating
