Who's going to Anesthesia school?

Nursing Students SRNA

We've had several threads from everyone saying they were accepted to various schools, but if everyone is willing let's do one big thread for everyone that will be starting anesthesia school this summer or fall. If you don't mind please include where you applied, the status from each school ( meaning didn't get an interview, interviewed and not accepted/made alternate/accepted), and the school you chose and why. Thanks, so much!

I applied to :

1) Medical College of Georgia- interviewed and made alternate

2) Samford (in Birmingham)- interviewed and accepted

3) University of Alabama at Birmingham- interviewed and accepted and will be going there this fall. I chose UAB because I loved the Director and all of their clinicals are in Birmingham, so I won't have to travel all over the state.

Hello,

Applied to Albany Medical College: interviewed and accepted. Will start this upcoming fall.

Also applied to U of Buffalo: interview granted but declined d/t acceptance at AMC.

I picked AMC because of the small class size, diverse clinical sites, and that it grants a Masters of Science in Anesthesia upon completion.

]CONGRATS TO ALL! :balloons: :balloons: I applied to UNCG/Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center; interviewed; accepted and will be starting the program in August. Currently attending graduate school full time and working full time. I will only lack one core course after this semester. I only applied here because moving is not an option. Two kids (one starting kindergarten this fall and the other in diapers) and a self employed hubby. Best of luck to everyone and although I cannot remember who said it......it is truly God's grace that I am in this position!

Applied at University of Akron Interviewed and was declined.

Applied Uniersity of Cincinnati and never heard a word after.

Applied at St Elizabeth School Anesthesia in Youngstown will attend in Fall.:roll

Old Dominion U- interviewed offered, but I declined it

Did you ever go on campus or was this an interview granted after they reviewed your paperwork? Reason for questioning is that ODU was my second choice, but I got in after interviewing at UTC / Erlanger and declined ODU. I always wondered "what if" about ODU and Virginia. I just wonder what the school and hospitals were like.

Thanks
