I was wondering who is applying for nursing school for the Fall 2006 semester.
My school allows us to hand in our transcripts for 3 weeks in March and the first batch of letters go out in May.
They only have 135 slots for the day and 50 for the evening. I will be applying for the day program since my gpa is not high enough for the evening (they say at least 3.7).
Good luck to everyone

I am sorry. Dont give up. Keep trying and I know it will happen, so hang in there.
Thank you for your kind words, I'm praying to God that I get in next year. I really want to get my career started so I can provide for my family the way I want to. Good luck to the people that are still waiting.
Dont think bad, anyone I've ever known on the waiting list has gotten in. Just to let you know...I didn't get in. Not even the wait list. So I will be calling Damon tomorrow to find out where I was on the list and if I was low down...then I'm not reapplying, not going to torture myself like this. There is a management position open in my department and I would rather walk away instead of getting everyone, including my family's hopes up that I can provide more for them. this sucks.
Sorry NRSNFL I know how you feel, but at least you get to reapply for next spring, I have to wait a whole year.:angryfire . I wish you nothing but the best of luck.
Butterfly, you and seem to sound like we have similar pressures. I am really hopeful with this program I found at University of South Florida for the accelerated second BSN.....I also found out I can take classes as a pre-nursing student in nursing classes, as long as there is space. I'll start doing that next spring.
God...Tell me about it!! This wait is killing me. We actually have 3 more weeks, I guess we will know by the end of July. I have not heard anything, and believe me it is not because I have not tried.......How many points did you apply with?
What school are you in? I am in Wayne Co., Michigan and waiting for my letter also. It is torture. I got an envelope today thinking it was the Happy letter, only to find out it was my financial aid award letter instead. That is happy news too, but it was not the answer letter. They said we would know by the end of July. It is driving me crazy.
i'm in the process of trying to apply for the fall 2006 semester. i'm applying for the pre-quiste classes for the lpn program.hopefully i will get accepted.
i am just curious...i see many of you are applying to lpn schools. is there still a demand for that? here in michigan they are phasing them out. it could be just here in this area though.
Hi, I wanted to respond to your LPN question.....I know our hospital doesn't hire LPN's...but some local hospitals do. I don't know that they can afford to phase them out right now. But I will say this, I know some would consider an LPN program with the ability to bridge to an ASN just to get some progress started and be able to work at the same time. Just a thought. I've been applying to ASN/BSN programs......I already have a bachelors so I'm looking at accelerated second BSN programs.
