Who's applying for Augusta University's CNL program 2017

Published

I am taking pre-reqs and getting ready to apply. I would love to hear from others who are applying.

Specializes in NICU.

It took them 4 days to verify my application. I am going to just chalk it up to that seriously.

@NICUNurseToBe Things must be getting busier. NursingCAS hasn't verified my grades yet. Hopefully today will be the day. The waiting game is so hard. I bet they'll be in touch soon!

Hi Everyone!

I will be applying for this cohort as well. I'm in the unique position that I actually applied for the AU CNL program last year and was accepted, but ended up declining my seat due to issues with my son at the time. It was not an easy decision at all:( My stats are:

3.06 GPA

434 MAT score

3 pre-reqs still pending (Stats, Chem 1, Micro)

10 years active duty Navy as a Russian and Farsi linguist, followed by 4.5 years as a defense contractor Intel Analyst working the Afghan/Iraq/Syrian mission (where I am currently working)

I know it's a long process, but we will survive:) If anyone has questions, feel free to PM me! I also provided info regarding the process in previous posts on other threads if you search under my name. Good luck everyone!

@TriChick, I'm sure that you'll be accepted again this year! On one of the old threads, I saw that someone had to decline their seat due to a family matter then reapplied the following year and they were accepted.

@NICUNurseToBe My grades still haven't been verified. I'm trying to be patient, but it's so hard. I wonder what makes some people's get verified faster than others. If you don't hear about an interview today, hopefully you'll have an interview email when we return from the holidays.

@kate8888 How's the application coming along?

I just did submitted my application am feeling so relieved. I labored too long over my personal statement but finally got it done.

Now I just wait. :)

How is everyone else doing?

I am good. Everyone who hasn't submitted already and waiting to hear something will probably hear something this week to interview... So, I'm excited about that. Anyone doing the tour on the 9th???

Did anyone notice a delay in the status on the Augusta University site? I checked mine today to make sure everything was in and it's saying that I'm missing the supplemental application. My application was received by AU on Monday and I submitted my supplemental on the 21st:)

EDIT: Nevermind, I just called and it turns out that the NursingCAS application and supplemental aren't matched up until admissions pulls the applications from NursingCAS. They haven't pulled any that were submitted last week yet, in case anyone submitted during that time and was obsessively stalking their email:)

I wonder about the people who submitted at the first week of November. It's been almost 3 weeks for me. Ughhhh

That's a good question! My big clue was that when I checked my status on the AU site it still listed the Supplemental Application under "Required Documents Not Received". Does yours say the same? If it's listen under "Received" I would imagine that it means they have at least pulled the application and are prepping to review it:)
