Who's applying for Augusta University's CNL program 2017

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I am taking pre-reqs and getting ready to apply. I would love to hear from others who are applying.

Specializes in NICU.

I would definitely call or email to verify. She is really sweet.

I agree with NICUNurseToBe, the program manager is very helpful. Prior to the application opening, I emailed her with several questions and she responded quickly and was incredibly informative. If you have any questions, I definitely recommend getting in contact with her.

How is everyone's application coming along? I have most things uploaded except my essay and GRE scores.

Almost done! I just need to upload my resume and personal statement and hit submit. How are you feeling about the GRE?

At this point, I just want the GRE over with. I am sure I could take it today and do fine but it's midterms week for my A&P class and I am over studying. I have a question for you igh23 since you are further along with your application, in NursingCas my transcripts have been recived and labled "verifying" for over a month now. The same with my references. Are they waiting until I submit my application or are they just slow?

kate8888, That's really interesting because my transcripts were marked as received at the end of August, but mine aren't showing as verifying. From my understanding, once we submit the application and pay the fee, they will verify our transcripts. Is the green button lit for verifying, or is it gray still on your application? On my application, the button that gives the date of when each transcript arrived is green, but the one that says verifying is gray.

As for my references, I received a notification by email and on the dashboard of the application once a reference had been submitted. It seems pretty instantaneous too. I received the notification before each person could get their email out to me letting me know that they had submitted my recommendation. Also, you can see where they are in the process from the check status button. Have you checked with everyone that you listed to make sure they received the email? One of my references didn't receive the email to her inbox and found it in the clutter folder.

Good luck on your A&P midterm and the GRE!!! Yes, I can relate. I was so ready to take the GRE and get it out of the way. It'll be here and marked off your checklist before you know it.

Specializes in ICU.

Submitted my application this weekend and my supplemental last weekend. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations, pearls08! :up:That's so exciting! Would you mind sharing a little bit about your background? I'm interested in learning about the variety of people applying to this program. It seems to draw a diverse candidate pool.

igh23, looks like I am in the same boat as you, stats-wise. I have a 2.99 GPA but it will be at a 3.01 after this semester if I make an A in A&P. I am scheduled to take the GRE on October 23rd. I've been studying for the past month and am scoring 305-310 on practice tests though I'd like to hit the 315 mark to make up for my low GPA.

I'm worried about applying before this semester is over b/c my GPA is lower than the 3.0 minimum but I also know that it's better to apply earlier than later. I guess I am just nervous all the way around.

Looks like the GRE is coming up soon. Good luck! It'll be such a relief to have that out of the way. Are you taking it at UGA's testing center? How's the application coming along?

Yes! I take it next week at UGA. Any idea how long it will take my scores to get to NursingCas? My application is complete other than my GRE score.

Igh23, you hit submit on that application yet? I hear through the grapevine that some people have already interviewed.

Yay! Almost to the finish line! I took mine on September 2nd and they sent the scores to Augusta on the 14th. However,ETS posted the official scores a little bit before they sent it to the school. Good luck! Let me know how you do!

I plan to have mine completed before the end of the month. I wanted the alumni career counselor to look over my resume and personal statement before I submit it.

Oh, and yeah, I saw on one of the other threads that someone's already interviewed. Hopefully, we can say the same soon!!!
