The time and a half is great! I work OB every year. It's always a fun race to see who can delivery the first baby of the new year. We put together a special gift for the family. Happy New Year to you all!

I came into work tonight planning on a nice night in my icu and instead got floated to a med surg unit and got assigned to be a sitter. I'm dying of boredom
I am in the float pool and thought they were going to float me to another unit, but things got ridiculously busy in the ER last night and I guess that's why my supervisor left me in the ER, which I didn't mind cause I love the ER. I thought it would have been a calm day (which is what most of us in the ER thought), at least until around 2 or 3am when those who are drunk from their various new years celebrations might then try to drive home and something horrible happens, which did happen by the way. They said they've been dealing with peoples hangover and drunken violence all day today. Glad I don't go back in til tomorrow night. :)
