I'll be working 7p-7a tonight. It's the only reason I'll be up at midnight....otherwise I'd be in bed by 10p!! LOL
Happy New Year to all my fellow nurses!!

I work tomorrow 0700-1530 so I will be cozy in bed when midnight rolls around!

Time and a half? What's that?
I lost count how many New Year's I've spent stripping clots out of chest tubes, changing IV's, or watching monitors with no TV, no radio, no windows as the midnight rolled by. Ugh.
HOWEVER, George the RT would usually bring his bugle and would play Auld Lang Syne softly in the hallway. Good 'ol George.

I'm working 3-11:30 pm. Might make it home to see the ball drop, but to me it's just another day/night. I have no special someone to kiss at midnight, so it's all the same to me.

1900-0730 here. My kids are too little to stay up that late anyway, and I'm too tired to stay up, if I wasn't working- I'm sure I'd be out by 2100 at the latest. =)

10p-6a here, and we get paid straight time. If we want "holiday pay", we have to use PTO hours.
I work in a rehab/ltc setting, so it's change of the month for us. Joy (sarcasm very much implied)

2300-0700. No holiday pay at my hospital, just another shift for me.
Where do you work?
