Who else doesn't have or need nutrition class as their pre req?

Raise your right foot! lol tell me every school nursing program is different. I'm in HI and the 2 schools I'm looking into doesn't have nutrition on both their pre req or the whole list of courses. Am I the only one?

I'm in CA. I don't have nutrition as a pre-req either (although I have taken it already). I think all the programs are different. Some programs in my area want you to have physics, or statistics, but mine doesn't, thankfully!!

I'm in NC and none of the four schools I've looked at have nutrition as a pre-req. The general consensus in this area is: A&P I and II, an upper level math class, microbiology, chemistry and they are just now adding in Med Term I & II.

I have taken it, but my program doesn't require it. Chemistry either, thank heavens!

Molloy College requires nutrition. I am currently taking nutrition. So far it is an excellent course.

I'm in GA and my school doesn't require it. Just the typical sciences except physics.

I will being going into a BSN program.

I think most BSN programs ask for it. Some ADN programs do too but depends on which school. I'm in an ADN program in PA that doesn't require it but I took it anyway.

None require it where I'm applying but I did take it. It helped a lot in AP2.

I'm in a BSN program and it is not required.

ADN programs here where I am in Indiana doesnt require it. :)

My school doesn't require nutrition as a pre-req but it's one of the first classes in the nursing curriculum. I'm really looking forward to eventually taking a nutrition class because I already do alot of nutrition research on my own just out of personal interests. I was kind of disappointed that it's not a pre-req like it is at so many other schools.

Middle Tennessee State University doesn't require that course either...........
