I am. I'll admit it. If I could at least get the letter that I've been added to the waiting list for the Spring. Oh well. For now i'll live vicariously through all of you. Good luck!

Wow Teres.. so have i!
I mean, i've prolly lost a good 2 lbs, cause i'm not eating much. It's weird. we wait so long for it to get here, then, it gets here......and we feel queasy!
I guess it's fear of unknown....
Lori,
First of all I hope you do get the letter saying that you too will start this fall. Secondly even though the whole process can be long and exhausting in itself, I think that we end up getting alot of classes out the way that may have made the program even more challenging than it is while we wait so that may be a blessing in disguise. I start my nursing classes on Monday and am very excited. I wish everyone the best of luck to you! To those in their final year I am soooo jealous of you guys!!!!! Hope you all have a kick but year!!!!!!
awww...I feel jealous but happy for you guys. I am looking to go to Colorado to do my associate because all the other schools are giving me a hard time to get in. I applied for the spring so I might have to starting packing up my kids in december and head to colorado.
I have never been to colorado before but I will go anywhere to get into the program. I just want to get over it and start working.
please pray for me.
Ann.
I'm jealous in a good way too. I love hearing about everybody's orientations and first days. It gets me excited.
Kats,
I won't hear until November or December either when they start juggling people (people who were supposed to start but changed plans with those on the waiting list). I'm deciding whether to go ahead with the physical and CPR class etc. just in case. I probably will.

Hey Teresa, what a fun idea, to look back on these boards from where you came, to where you are now. That is soooo encouraging!
Also I felt a wee bit jealous at the end of last semester, as my friend and I saw all the first year student nurses gathered around getting their assignments for the following year. She and I walked away so silent, and then cried a little. Aren't we pathetic?!
Although I'm anxious to start, I'm also scared silly! So sometimes I'm glad I have to wait, and other times, I just so want to jump in! Heather
Hey Fatima and annmarei, I have been paying close attention to both of you and can't wait to hear when you get started. Annmarei, I am sure you will be an excellent nurse, you have quite the determination about you.
Dublin37 (Heather), funny you said that, when I read this original post, I was so sure I had posted something similar so I went back and did a search. I hadn't realized until then how long I had been posting here. It was encouraging for me as well.
And Lori, I am so glad this board can be a place of encouragement for you.
Teresa
Lori, you never know what is in store for you.
I am in my 2nd week of nursing. I wasn't supposed to start until January, but received a noticed that I had been boosted up because they had been awarded some ICAPP scholarship and 60 additional slots. You can't imagine my panick when I had to send in my acceptance for this August. I found this out in April of this year. I still haven't celebrated because it all moved so fast.
Good luck and stay on board so you we can support you through this.
You mentioned going ahead and doing cpr, physical, etc...DO IT.
You never know.

I am jealous as well, but in a good way!:) I am genuinely happy for everyone who is starting, but I am also waiting for "my turn".
I know that my time will come, so I am just using this board as a huge learning tool. Every post that students (and nurses) make, helps me out just that little bit more.
Hang in there! Not that much longer now!!
