Hey guys! Just curious as to who else is currently in A&P? I just started last week and so far, I am LOVING it!! I am sure it is going to get worse. I have started good study habits so I don't get behind.
We have been to lab 2 and already used the microscope. I look forward to all of the cool things we will be doing with it. I think so far I like this class best of all. I know, call me crazy, and check back in with me in a few weeks. :chuckle
So, any other geeks out there??:roll

I started last week also, twice a week; one instructor for lecture and one for lab. They both seem nice and open to EXPLAINING things if there are questions. I hope this is a good sign. I'm also taking Life Span Development. We have to do a presentation and a term paper for that class; but that instructor is also nice.
All three have a sense of humor! I can't stand instructors that just lecture and never even crack a smile.
Hi All!
I'm taking A&P I this semester. I've got in on Tuesday and Thursday nights after work from 6-8:30. Each day is supposed to be class followed directy by lab but I think it will be mostly lecture. My instructor is a doc who is also an animal rights advocate and doesn't believe in disecting animals....however he teaches another class somwhere else where they are working on human cadavers and invited our class to join...so that should be interesting. He's a bit strange though...He has an unusual preoccupation with yeast...he's already told us several wierd stories and home "cures" he assures us will work. Believe me when I say you would NEVER think to use any of them in the manner he speaks of...nor would you want to!
I have no problem managing my study time...I have a really long commute in to work everyday and review my homemade flashcards while I'm stuck in traffic jams...Gotta love Chicago driving! Anyway, Good luck to all!

Anyone starting with the heart in A&PII?
If so, do you have any suggestions for remembering the chemical and electrical actions?
Gotta tell you A&PI was so much more fun. LOVE that gross anatomy much better!
Thanks for any help,
C
Nope, we did one day of Histology then started skinning cats in lab.
In lec, we're doing digestive system first... Cardio is next IIRC.

I just started A&P I on Saturday. It looks like the concepts aren't difficult; it's just a massive amount of material to memorize.
I was going through my flashcards on the train to work this morning and a lady next to me asked if I was going to nursing school. She said she could tell from all the flashcards! She also said it was great I was going to school because they really need more nurses.
