Hello fellow Nursing students,
I took the HESI entrance today at SCC.
Whew! It seemed like I was sitting at that computer forever!
I then walked directly across the way to submit my application.
SUCCESS!
I was date and time stamped and everything...
She then told me the wait list at SCC is approximately 2 years
Does anyone know if the other Maricopa colleges have a shorter waiting list???
thanks for the information!

You should be recieving an e-mail from the nursing program then you log into your account and pick the top 4 schools you want to go to. The school you turned your application into is automatically your first choice and you chose 4 others. Then which ever school has an opening first you are placed @ according to your stamp date and time! So regardless you will be waiting 3-4 semesters sucks I know!
Thanks Matix.
Yes, I got that e-mail...I would rather drive 50 miles if Estrella had a 'shorter' list...then wait longer for the "typical" top 4 choices.
So I added it to my list in case...
I hate the waiting game

How did you get a date/time stamp? They are supposed to take all apps from the 2 months, June/July, then process them with a date/time stamp. Is SCC not doing this?

I am probably sure that he or she didn't receive the official date/timestamp. They tell you the day the it's expected to randomize the applications, but not the timestamp. They have to wait till that day and an email will be sent showing your exact time stamp. This is how your are identified in the whole system....

I had GatewayCC accelerated as my last choice and that was the one I got, Estrella was listed #1 since I live on West Side. I think you will wait 3 semesters or more for any program.
yes AKA you were correct.
I didn't get my date stamp until 08/13/10 @ 8:01 a.m.
The person who originally told me that I was stamped and ready was still training...thus she didn't know.
Oh well...now for the waiting game.
:)
I got my time stamp this round also. It's 08/13/2010 08:00:32AM Yours doesn't have seconds??
It did...I just didn't remember what the seconds were...
Congrats!
Now we both wait :-)
Congrats to you too! I would like to start sooner, but not willing to take out 60K loan at Chamberlain or another school to get in quicker. I did meet a student from Chamberlain while having my appendix out last week that was super nice, and really liked the program there.
I completely agree with you!
I have a hard time paying so much money at Chamberlain or even Grand Canyon...when the community college program is under $7,000.
I figure, 2 years will pass by me anyway, I might as well wait and hope that I get in sooner.
At least we are now stamped!!
