  1. I had to update my information, so when the advisor emailed me back, she said we will be notified via email by the end of the week...I hope that's accurate!!
  2. I applied for Family DNP for the fall. I am anxiously awaiting! Last year they heard the first week of March. So hopefully that will be around the same timeframe for this year!!
  3. For those of you who just started and went to RISE this fall, how it is going!!? :)
  4. Newbie23, I totally understand how you feel. I am on a progressive care floor now. I am planning to apply to u of a this fall too! So lets stay in touch this fall! :) I read "they accept everybody" but I am not sure how true that is. I can only imagine how competitive it is, so I doubt they accept everyone. Are you planning on working full time throughout the program?
  5. Oh oh my mistake! Well I am sure it is similar! Do you like the online format?
  6. Mom To 4, I am planning on applying this fall. Do you have any advice about apply to get the best shot of being accepted? I am applying to ASU and they informed me it is "very competitive." Any advice would be much appreciated? So far, how is the program? Are you working full time? Thank you!!!
  7. Please keep updating this as you go to RISE next month and how the fall goes. I am applying for the fall 2014, I would love to hear how it is going for you guys. :)
  8. Oh, I see. Well, I am hoping that the people who got in will share their experiences. There are so many options since the DNPs are all online, you really have to do research on which ones are worth the money! Are you from AZ? With Duke, do you need to find your own preceptors? Thanks for all your info! :)
  9. I wonder how the program runs with so many accepted. It's pretty much all online so maybe that's why they are able to accept so many. I was planning on applying to more schools just in case though! What other schools did you apply to and end up selecting? I figured U of A would be a great school considering their primarily ground BSN program and their medical schools are both highly ranked.
  10. I am very interested in this program and will be applying this fall. Just wanted to know what everyone thought of the application process, in terms of competitiveness? I will probably end up applying to both ASU and U of A, U of A is definitely my first choice. Any advice? Congratulations, I hope to be where you all are in a year! :)
  11. That's weird. I wonder why its all the same day!? Did you get the email about the schedule? It's not too bad.. It is going to be the longest drive in the mornings though that's for sure. I haven't ordered the books or scrubs yet because I heard to wait until orientation? Should I go ahead and get everything or just wait? Stresssful!
  12. Just to make sure I read that email correctly…the orientation on the 9th from 9-1 is for everyone who is fast track @ GCU. Then the AT Still group has their orientation right after, @ John C Lincoln from 1-4?? So we'll drive from GCU right to John C Lincoln? I was originally told AT Still would have theirs on the 16th. Hmm...
  13. I have my bachelors as well, and I thought about doing the community college route (I applied June 2010). However, the waitlist is now easily 2-3 years before you even start the 2 year program, hence I have been waiting for a year and I have not been offered a spot to start yet. Because you have a degree already, I would again highly recommend doing the university route. If ASU is out for you (they are starting their post-bachelors nursing program the spring of 2012) then look into GCU. I looked into GCU last fall, completed the prereqs in the spring and applied with them. Luckily, I am starting with them in the fall, for their fast track program!! It is expensive...but there weren't too many options for me, I am in the East Valley. I will have a BSN, and my RN AND working by the time some of my friends begin their ADN programs. Just depends on what you you want to do, and how much time you want to spend. Good luck!
  14. The first 5-8 weeks are there, then its back to At Still University in the Mesa/Gilbert area, for the remainder of the program
  15. I am! Its going to be over an hour commute for me..but I'm excited!! And Im excited to have a schedule!
