Which Maricopa CC has shortest wait list?

Hello fellow Nursing students,

I took the HESI entrance today at SCC.

Whew! It seemed like I was sitting at that computer forever!

I then walked directly across the way to submit my application.

SUCCESS!

I was date and time stamped and everything...

She then told me the wait list at SCC is approximately 2 years

Does anyone know if the other Maricopa colleges have a shorter waiting list???

The fastest way to bypass the forever wait list is to go to Gateways LPN program. Its only a semester wait list tops. Sometimes you dont even have to wait. And if you have all of your prereqs done you can go right into block three as soon as you are done.

That's not exactly true. Block 3 entry is based on availability. SOmetimes there can be a waitlist, sometimes there is not. If students are doing well and not very many fail or defer out of block 1 and 2, then there wont be many spaces in block 3 for the accelerated program. So it doesn't cut much time out to go the LPN route. Looking at a semester wait right now, one year of school, it does have pre reqs similar to the nursing program, and then there is a semester to 2 wait to get into block 3 then another year of school. You might save a semester or 2 but double your cost.
