Which is more difficult, or requires more time? I am taking both at the same time and it seems that A&P is taking up all of my time. If there is any time left over I try to study for micro. It just seems that there is so much more to know in A&P and it demands my attention.
Anyone else done this before (I am sure others have) how did you cope? I would really appreciate any advice or insight that you all may have I really want to get through this quarter successfully. Thanks!
I just thought that A & P required a whole lot of studying. It wasn't that the material was all that "difficult" per se. I am a total procrastinator, so that class kicked my ass. Hmmm. Just keep up with your studying.
Thanks for all of the info gang! I am finding A&P more interseting to study than micro. However the labs in micro are funner b/c you get to do a lot more hands on stuff. I will be so glad when this quarter is over, b/c no matter how you slice it it's gonna be a challenge. OH and supposedly I got the hard A&P teacher and the hard micro teacher. Just my luck.

A&p1, A&P 2 and Micro were about equally painful All three required lots of extra study time outside the class room and lab. In my opinion those classes are falling into their own special "monster" category and classifiying them as 4 credit hour classes is almost a joke since they require far more study time than more conventional 4 credit hour classes that are not tied to nursing. Make sure you have enough time for these classes and you will do alright.
I personally think Micro was more difficult because you HAD to know how to do the procedures and memorize the results/reagents, etc.
I do think A&P was more TIME intensive though. I honestly dont think A&P was hard and I'm somewhat disgruntled that I let myself get freaked out by everyone saying how difficult it is. I dont think it's difficult - I think it's VERY, VERY time consuming and if that's your idea of difficult - then yes, it's REALLY difficult. I enjoyed it.

Like it wasn't enough that we also had to memorize the procedures results and reagents....some of the questions on our lab practicals were worth 4 pts....that's alot and it wasn't easy to make A's You REALLY had to know your stuff or else.

Thats exactly how I felt about ap1. I have heard horror stories about ap2 at my school I am hoping its the samething just a ton of work, that I can do.

I took Micro and A&PII with to psych classes. I found them to be challenging. Here is a tip study every day, study the material you just did that way when a test comes up you only have to do a review to wake the info up in your brain for the test. Also don't get overwhelmed, just take the class day by day things will begin to fall into place. Once they do you will see there was no reason to stress. Have fun with it it's the best way to learn
I think a lot of it depends on instructors. Today was my first class, and while it seems extremely interesting, it looks like a killer. A&P took a lot of hard work and study time, but Micro looks like more of a challenge. I guess time will tell.
