Which is more difficult Micro or A&P?

I definitely found A&P more challenging only because it required A LOT of memorization. There were definitely tricks to learning bones and muscles, etc. but there is just so much information. What really got me through was the professor (was great!!) and we formed a study group early on and met at least twice a week. Bouncing ideas off of others is the best way to learn! (In my experience).

The University where I took my undergrad seperated A&P, but I personally felt that Physiology was much more diffcult than Anatomy, I loved Micro (even though the professor was freaking hard). I just think I am a very concrete learner. If its infront of me it is eaiser for me to learn. In Physio you have to conceptualize it (blah)... but eveyone is different. I can only imagine what it would have been like if A&P were put together. Anywho im sure you will do fine. Good luck

A&P hands down was harder for me. Micro was a piece of cake compared to it. Bless your little heart taking them both together. I wish you lots of luck I know I could not have done it. But I also know people who have. Just study hard.

Hey! I am taking Micro and AP2 at the same time. I am in the same boat as you. After the first week it seems like AP2 is going to be the tougher one for me. Although so far Micro is fairly boring so AP2 is more exciting and thus for me anyway a bit easier. We can just keep telling us that we can do it! WE CAN DO IT!!!

I took the Micro later. I thought that A&P was tough at the start and easier as you went (except bones and muscles). I thought Micro was easy at first then got progressively harder.

My heart goes out to all of you who would take them together!!!!

A&P or BIO is a requirement for Micro at my school. I took both, hopefully it will help a lot.

I am taking Micro this semester (starting on Tuesday), but I've already taken A&P. I have to agree with the pp on this - it is a LOT of memorization! With the bones, my DH helped me study for that and I passed it with flying colors!! I was so proud. He said "repeat it 7 times and you'll remember it". It work. And there is a bone called the manubrium and I could not remember it for the life of me when he pointed to it and he said it in a really funny way and low and behold, when I was taking the test, I laughed because that was how I remembered it...the way he said it. The hard thing is in our class, we had to pretty much know every little bump and indent...it's more than you realize! The rest of the things I did ok with (muscles and such).

Our lab tests were not multiple choice...we had to remember EVERYTHING. He did not mark down for misspelling, but I know some teachers do. Just go over it over and over and over. That is all I can suggest! I was proud of myself...I passed the class with a B! It was hard, but so interesting to me and I would think to anyone who wants to be a nurse!!

I've heard that Micro is hard as well, but I will probably adapt the same studying habits...flashcards and just going over it as much as possible!

I thought that Micro was harder than A&P (I took Micro & A&PII at the same time) but I was totally familiar with A&P, having the 1st semester already. I think it all depends on your instructor and how in depth the course is. I have seen postings on here that said that A&P was so tough, but then again, the same has been said of Micro. I really enjoyed Micro, as we got to do a lot more hands on than in A&P. We basically just had models and specimans to study, didn't get to do dissections or anything like that in A&P. With Micro, we got to actually "play" with different organisms and see just how they worked and what they did. I think it just all depends on your specific school and what detail they go into.
