Which is better? Saunders or kaplan test taking strategy book?pls i need some advise

I M THINKING OF BUYING A TEST TAKING STTRATEGY BOOK. AS I HAVE ALREADY TAKEN KAPLAN REVIEW ONLINE. SO INSTEAD OF BUYING KAPLAN I THOUGHT OF BUYING SAUNDERS. I HAVENT BOUGHT ANY SAUNDERS BOOK. HAVE ANYONE OF U USED SAUNDERS TEST TAKING STRATEGY BOOK? HOW WORTH IS IT? OR SHOULD I GO FOR KAPLAN. PLS ADVISE NEEDED.

i tried several different books and found saunders suited me better. also a good review if struggling in any areas.

another thread indicates you have gone for hurst. do not over do it with different study material as it can get confusing.

just to point out the following in terms of service and bulletin board speak

The only person who can determine which is best for you is you. Go to any major bookstore and compare review books, then choose the one that you want to work from.

I've never used Kaplan before.. I used the Saunders Comprehensive Review Book and found it to be really helpful -- the way it was organized, the content (wasn't too heavy and really highlighted what you needed to know), a lot of helpful charts/pics/diagrams, etc.

However, if you are just looking for a review book with a lot of practice questions, I would not recommend Saunders as their questions are way too easy and you definitely won't find any of those questions on the NCLEX.

Hey there,

Saunders book do not have any strategy for the NCLEX-RN exam.Hurst review do provide the test taking strategies that Marlene says in each lecture.She also have provided in PDF the test taking strategies.I bought la charity priotization and delegation book after reading some thread about the book here.

Saunders are better. They are the most like the questions that you will get on the Nclex. Kaplan I believe is a waste of time. I like the Saunders rationales and their strategy explanations.
