  1. Hi, I'm a home health nurse and I recently started using a KCI wound vac for a pt. with a surgical wound with 5 tunnels that wouldn't heal. The wound is on the lower back near the buttocks and we have to use a bridge in order for the vac not to block. My question is the following: How do you make your own bridge. The patient is paying for the treatment and the bridges are too expensive. I know that you can make your own bridge, but I dont know how to. If someone knows of a link that shows how to make your own bridge I would really appreciated or if you can explain how to do it, that would be good too. I would really appreciate any replies on how to make the bridge. Thank you
  2. the trick works, I took the Nclex yesterday, August 2nd. Got home and did the trick and I got the good pop up. This morning I checked the BON and I passed. The trick works. So if you got the good pop up don't kill yourself worrying anymore your an RN.
  3. Just took the Nclex. I had 75 questions and if I knew more than 15 was too much. A lot of SATA and meds I had never heard of before. I got the good pop up, so I'm praying that this trick is right.
  4. Saunders are better. They are the most like the questions that you will get on the Nclex. Kaplan I believe is a waste of time. I like the Saunders rationales and their strategy explanations.
  5. Hi, I'm about to take the Nclex for the first time next week. I went to Keiser University, the one in Kendall. Our school paid for a tutor to come in and give us a Nclex review once we graduated. The tutors name is Dr. ****** and she is really good. I dont know where you live but I know that she is always traveling giving reviews to different schools around the USA. She used to write questions for the Nclex board so she knows very good strategies that are very helpful in the Nclex. She leaves in Miami,Florida which is Eastern time, so please don't call her too late. I think she is really good and she has a 95% passing rate of all the students that she has tutored. Hope this helps and good luck to your daughter.
  6. Hi, I want to know if Texas accepts the Rn license from Florida or do they require anything extra.
  7. Hi, I just started the nursing program at Keiser in january 2009. It is an acredited University. It is also very expensive compared to miami dade, but good luck trying to get into miami dade. As far as some of the comments that their program sucks, I completely disagree. Keiser has one of the top percentages in their students passing the NCLEX. And a lot of hospitals at least the ones in florida are hiring a lot of the graduates from keiser.I just started clinicals this week and its awesome. Teachers actually care about you and try to help you as much as possible. The actual program is 16 months. My schedule right now is Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1:30pm Monday through wednesday and from 6:30am to 2:00pm thursdays and fridays, which are our 2 clinical days of the week. Overall I like the school and their system of teaching, yes is expensive about $35000 for the whole program, but they work really hard to get you loans with the government, which the interest rates are super low.
