Hi there! Just wanted to get to know each other some more and kind of see what everyone's plans were.
Just curious to see:
Here are my answers:
Nice to meet you all!
Nope! Still waiting to even get a confirmation that my application is complete from the school (USA). I don't think we'll be hearing anything until mid June. I read somewhere that even though it said 6-8 weeks after the application deadline, they are way behind. They "hope" to get out letters this month.
Ok, so I got accepted to both George Washington University and University of Southern Alabama for their BSN-DNP programs. I'm going with GWU's program. They are closer (helps during those on campus visits, don't need a flight and hotel) and I love the reputation of the entire university.
Thank you UNCNP :) I'm very excited, still awaiting Alabama's decision which is 1st choice (online - dual program).
Congratulations to everyone else who got in!and even if you didn't - your story isn't over. Don't give up!
Twinmommy, I have a coworker who will be starting GWU this fall too for FNP. She's so excited and she is wonderful! Initials TH.
Also - I have been seeing just pages and pages of Simmons threads for NP...what am I missing about this school? What kind of charm does the program have that I just don't understand?...is it just me who thinks that way? Not trying to offend anyone either, I know it's a decent program,I just don't understand the mass appeal (particularly in this forum) of the school. So what am I missing that makes this place great?
Kndrn I've had the same thought. I know that we have to pay $100 to save our spot, so if we pay that and then decide not to go we lose that. On the bright side though, that would still give someone else on the waiting list the chance to start. A win - win all the same, though it would probably irritate the school.

Thank you MICU! I don't understand how I got into Chapel Hill but not UNCC or UNCW. I get into the #4 Nursing Program in the nation but not my little school down the road that I graduated from, just kinda funny.
Now waiting for Alabama!
