  1. I'm also applying to start in February. Study group sounds great :)
  2. This all sounds very familiar. Its this way pretty much everywhere that I've worked. The best you can do is the best you can do.
  3. I accepted TWU's instead
  4. I'm curious about something...If you are accepted to a certain campus but a class you need is not offered at your campus a particular semester, can you take it through another campus, especially if its online?
  5. Yay missdeevah! If you choose TWU we'll be classmates!
  6. Thanks! Well keep the faith guys. For now no news is good news until they find out who will decline acceptance.
  7. I've been accepted to the FNP program at the Dallas location. I've not yet been able to reach my advisor. I'm thinking of taking Patho, Theory, and Assessment in my first semester, which will be Fall. I will be working full time weekends and an additional weeknight shift, and I have three small kids. I hope I can handle it lol
  8. Alternatively I might just take Theoretical Foundations, Research, and Pharmacotherapies first semester and spread it out a bit. I'm not sure what people generally do for full time load.
  9. I did my BSN at Tech but since I live in Dallas area I thought it might be better to do my MSN locally for a greater level of support. I haven't been able to reach my advisor yet so I'm sitting here trying to plot out a degree plan. I'm thinking of taking Theoretical Foundations, Patho, and Assessment first semester, Family Health I, Nursing Role, Policy and Health Promotion, and Pharmacotherapies second semester. Third semester would be Family Health II and Research/Quality Improvement. Does this sound doable or am I out of my kind lol?
  10. Great idea. Too bad no one else has joined in. I have been accepted to the FNP program at Dallas campus.
  11. Update: I logged in to Pioneer Portal and it looks like I was accepted because it is allowing me to register and shows my advisor. However I have not received an actual admission letter yet.
  12. Kndrn I've had the same thought. I know that we have to pay $100 to save our spot, so if we pay that and then decide not to go we lose that. On the bright side though, that would still give someone else on the waiting list the chance to start. A win - win all the same, though it would probably irritate the school.
  13. Yes I heard the same as OBTXRN. Still waiting
  14. Good point noodlemoore. Well I suppose I should be happy I was accepted at all with as competitive as it is. It seems like a lot of people are choosing the FNP route these days.
