Members are discussing the proper way to address nurse practitioners, with some preferring to be called by their first name, others by their title and last name, and some even suggesting a more formal approach like Miss/Mrs. Last name. The conversation also touches on the dynamics of nurse-patient relationships and the implications of how nurse practitioners are addressed compared to other healthcare professionals.

Just curious about what the proper way to address an NP would be. I'm always a little unsure about if I'm supposed to address them as Mr./Mrs. so and so, Nurse practitioner so and so, or what. I certainly wouldn't want to offend anyone, so I thought I'd ask the NP's here how they are comfortable being addressed by patients and ancillary staff. Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me.
