Ours last year was a Walmart card for $50. Probably the same this year.
I work for a physican for 4 years and got a bonus of $200. I left the practice and worked Pharmaceutical Sales for 3 years and just left that to come back to nursing. Because I left and have only been there for a month I only got $50. It's more that the hospitals ever gave me and my Pharma bonus was only $50 for Xmas too.
BONUS???????
Twitty, you got it! Love your quote and signature, one of my favorite prayer! :kiss :kiss One night during the week of xmas, will be a free lunch, same for day shift. That's it that's all. People seem to think that nurses got it all made. :trout: We are treated awefully, overworked, in despicable conditions, exposed to germs, dirty hospitals, nursing homes, default or simply missing equipment, disgraceful MD's (too often), poorly paid... but... we still love the service we do. Go figure!
Merry Christmas!
I guess I have to add that besides the bonus we are NOW (starting on 1/1/07) getting paid holiday pay for 6 (SIX) yes really six holidays instead of just Thanksgiving and Christmas day as in the previous years, and can you believe that office personnell is actually upset about the new rule?
When I worked at a LTC, I received $175. This year, I work in a hospital (large corporation) and received $50. As a medical transcriptionist, I received a gift each year such as candles, 2 pound chocolate computer, etc and $50 to $100 depending on how much I made that year. My bonus is smaller this year, but it was $50 I didn't have before.
