I am 22. I have been waiting for this year since I was 18. The year I graduate from Nursing school. I know I have alot of work ahead of me and I hope I'm not jinxing myself by posting this. What will you do after you graduate and Pass NCLEX? I never had any big birthdays, no sweet 16, no party after HS Graduation, No go out and get drunk for 21st. Nothing. I think once I graduate nursing school and pass NCLEX, that may all change. I may either go out and get drunk with some friends. My mom wants to take me to New Orleans (and we can get drunk. A 23 y.o. and a 69 y.o.), that's fine but I'm thinking I wanna do something with my Nursing School friends too. So what will you do?
My buddy finished school a few months back, failed his NCLEX, and already had a job in the ER. Hand slaps forehead!
After school I'll take the NCLEX, just once, and go get a job. I've been through a similar situation as an EMT. I passed the EMT practicals and written test first time. I had a job a few weeks later. I guess getting a job will be the crowning acheivment. A beer may be involved.
1. Throwing up.
2. Working. I have this job lined up. Seems like it's going to be a nightshift, now. Good thing? I can work once I get 'greenlit' to take NCLEX (virtual ATI). So, that'll be helpful. I'm just glad that I don't have to sit on my GVN.
The REAL question is: What will I do when I get my first paycheck?
Oh...day spa, here I come.
Welcome back, HBO!
I can't wait to get my fabulashes and my facials and pedicures.
Bottom line? I'm looking fwd to rejoining the middle-class.
I'll save the partying for my birthday, I think.
We have 2 trips planned. One to Kauai so I can visit the beach where my grandmother's ashes were scattered (I couldn't be there when they scattered her ashes so I want to go to light a paper lantern) and the other is to Italy. Unless I happen to already have a job lined up, in which case I'll go right to work. LOL

Buy a pair of Danskos, seriously. Like as soon as I pass the NCLEX.
