What Was Your G.P.A When You Got Accepted Into Your Nursing Program?

Published

Hello!

I'm just curious as to what G.P.A everyone had when they were accepted into their Nursing Program. Thanks!!!:)

I'm still working on prerequisites, so no acceptance GPA from me! :chuckle I know some programs take only your prereq GPA, so I'm curious - are the posted GPAs prereq or total? I'm SO nervous about my chances, I know I hurt them when I was in college before. I'm frustrated that I didn't take class seriously when I was 18 because now I'm starting with a 3.13 total in general classes, which I'm trying to raise. :banghead:

I had a 3.78 in pre reqs. Our school does a combination of nln score, GPA, and prior medical experience. I was accepted with a nln of 121, I work as a NA, and as I said a 3.78. They also look at how many classes per semester and level of difficulty. I took Algerbra (not credited), Microbiology, and Ethics one semester and A&P 2, Statistics, and Biology (elective) the next.

Specializes in CCRN.
Specializes in tele, ICU.

i had a 3.0 or 3.1 cumulative from my first degree (can't remember right now) and a 4.0 in my pre-reqs. i had very strong letters of rec, too.

3.9

Specializes in Nurse Leader specializing in Labor & Delivery.

4.0, but our school didn't use GPA to determine who entered the program.

After two semesters in the nursing program, it's now 3.72. :)

Cumulative was 2.7. Had several bad semesters (they really were not kidding when they said they were not babysitters, if you didn't show up it was your job to drop not theirs) also been going to school for several years kicking around majors but i got a's and b's in pre-reqs

I had a 3.9 until I took Micro which kicked my a$$ and got myself a C which pulled the GPA down. :crying2:

Specializes in Med-Surge.

Thanks for all the responses!!!

4.0

I applied in March. Got my acceptance letter about 8 weeks later!
