I live in a state that is geographically tiny. I appreciate it, after years of being in the south and midwest where people think nothing of driving 75 minutes! I start work at 9:00 in my current job. I leave at 8:30, just because I like to have plenty of extra time. I arrive at about 8:45 and then putter around for 15 minutes-- park the car, go in and say hi to people, get coffee, mess around on my phone. It's a relaxing way to start my morning.
I have two jobs: first job leave at 10:07, park about 10:29, clock in at 10:53. (on about four occasions, the highway has been closed and leaving at 10:07 means I can still arrive by 10:55 on the back roads)
Second job: leave at 5:45, park at 6:45, don't punch a clock but logged into system by 6:55.
According to my kids I suffer from "early for everything- itis".
I rotate between days and nights but I still leave at the same time. On Days I leave around 06:15 and get to work around 6:35-06:45ish depending on traffic. The parking is such a long walk so I need about 10-15 minutes to walk from employee parking all the way to my department so I usually clock in at around 07:00 or 06:55ish.
On night same it’s the same story and I leave around 6:15ish and get to the hospital around 6:35ish but I usually sit in the car and gather myself until around 6:50ish before I walk in since overnights we can park in the main garage and the walk isn’t that far.

I leave my house at 0625, walk onto my unit around 0645, clock in at 0700.
I used to have a 90 minute commute so I know how lucky I am.
