Hey! Hopefully i am in the accelerated bsn programm starting next May. As i have the whole year to get ready, i want to start studding somethig "must know". Just hope this will help me not to get too extremely loaded. Something you know, you have to drill, something time-consuming...
Thank you!

Fluid and electrolytes has been my hardest subject and test yet. I recommend reading up on that. Fluid and Electrolytes made incredibly Easy! is good. So far (from the 2 nursing classes I have finished) that has been my worst grade. I wish I had more time to study it.

I would agree that Fluid and Electrolytes is a LOT of information to cram in a short amount of time...also I'm struggling a little with Cardio/Pulmonary these last few weeks of the semester...it's just too much to cram into 2 weeks!

I agree with fluid and electrolytes being hard, but also in my class a bunch of us had a hard time with diabetes.

Definately fluid and electrolyes...you also may want to look at possibly getting your CNA (6weeks) and maybe taking a monitor tech class to learn your cardiac rhytyms (huge part of this semester for me!) Depending on your experience...I know I had none entering NS, and wished I had! Good Luck and take advantage of all the time you have to prepare :)

Pharmacology hands down. Even the "smart students" are struggling with our Pharm class.

Yeah, pharm and med-surg were most time consuming. I'd consider reading up on some drugs out of your pharm book and brushing up on your A&P if it's been awhile. Good luck to you!

Pharm has been tough, but not terrible. The thing that is taking a lot of time that I didn't expect would is the actual nursing skills. Of course, I'm the kind of person who has to practice, practice, practice my skills and even then I don't feel entirely comfortable doing them in testing. A lot of students in my program have also said that skills has been hard for them, so maybe it's just my school's program.
Thank you guys! It seems this year might be fun:) well i just hope it will pay back later..

i want to start studding somethig "must know".
May I suggest a good word processor program with a good spell-checker and better proofreading skills.
As instructor, would not be happy with papers or assignments with such misspellings....
(Meant as a suggestion to be precise and professional in your communications;
and acknowledging your post was probably a "quickie note" not a "formal entry".)

Oh, come on... Seriously
