I'm going to take Patho in this summer to lighten my load first semester so barring anything unforseen preventing me taking patho this summer my schedule should be:
Nursing and Health
Assessment of Clients in Health and Illness
Pharmacology
Total: 12 Credits (15 if I have to wait to take patho in the Fall)

Im taking Patho this summer as well to lighten my load. I only have to take nursing courses throughout the program since Ive already finished all my co-reqs.
Fall schedule:
Health Assessment
Nursing as a Discipline
Organic Biochemistry (the only co-req that I havent completed)
A religion course (Its a catholic based school so we need to take 3 religion courses)
*13 credits
Im super excited to get started. Our program has an 80% pass grade, in other words for the nursing courses a C = 80%. Is anyone else's grading scale this strict?

So, this is our first semester schedule in my ABSN program. There are two tracks (research and Spanish) hence the "or" in the last class.
Introduction to Professional Nursing (2 undergrad credits)
Evidence Based Nursing Practice (7! undergrad credits)
Pathophysiology (3 grad credits)
Applied Statistics (2 grad credits) OR Medical Spanish I (1 grad credit)
I'm still trying to decide whether to take the research track or the Spanish track. The Spanish track students take 3 out of the 4 research classes anyways, which would mean taking just one extra class once I move on to the master's program to be entirely caught up. Hrm. Decisions, decisions.

Wow a C is an 80??? Our policy is a C+ which is around a 75. You have to retake the class and get a B = 80 or higher if you repeat a course. I wish I could lighten my load but our program doesn't offer any first semester classes during the summer.

I think all of our classes require a 78% to pass.
Intro to clinical decision making in nursing (3 hours)
Communication in health care (2 hours)
Health assessment plus lab (3 hours)
Pharmacology in nursing practice I (1 hour)
Care of the client through the lifespan I (Maternal-neonatal nursing plus clinical)(4 credit hours: lecture and 15 clinical hours per week)
Pathophysiology (4 hours)
I start this summer!

In our school an 80% is a C also. But we have to have a 77% to pass. a 77%-84% is a C.
The only exception to this is our Dosage Calculations exams, we have those at the start of each class. (first semester we do it at the end and the semesters after are split in half and we do it at the beginning before each clinical) we have to pass those with 100% and we get 3 tries.
I am already done with my first semester, the first semester I had Fundamentals which was 9 credits, Pharm that was 2 credits and Dosage and Calculation (but like a semester long math class that went into way more detail then we needed) that was 3 credits
We had clinicals 1x a week for 8 weeks and all the assignments that went along with that.
I am in an associates program. I am going to do the 1 year bridge program after I graduate.
I got my Patho out of the way before I started, but those that didn't have to have it done before starting second semester. :)
Congratulations on getting in!
