Looking at buying some Dansko's upon several recommendations. What size are you wearing, what is your normal tennis shoe size? If you wear Crocs, what size do you wear?
Gracias.

I normally wear a size 7, but I have a size 38 in Dansko's (I was told you drop the 3 and then that number should be your shoe size) I recommend trying them on before buying (and not buying online) because they are hand made so one 38 might fit differently than another size 38. I was told that the sides of your feet should not touch any part of the shoe, what holds them onto your feet is the band across the top. Your heel should move freely up and down. Also, I was told that you can't start wearing them for 12 hours right away. They recommend only wearing them for like 3-4 hours for a week or two and gradually working yourself into them. I love mine!

I am not sure if this is true or not but I talked to a lady today at the shoe store and she said the "white" insoles (Pro XP model/Woman) are the standard sized Danskos (partly made on a machine). The Danskos that have the black insole (P model) are all hand done and the sizes vary.
Take it for what it is worth. I am typically a size 8.5, I tried on a 39 today and they fit really well. I did not get them because I was unsure if I liked how they felt. My foot felt like it was going to fall out when I walked. I did walk and jump in them and they did not fall off lol. I am used to tennis sneakers with a snug fit and these fit nothing like that. The correct size, even felt somewhat too big.
These are the ones I tried on today:

Size 40 and I usually wear a 9. The white ones I had were more loose fitting that my black and my suede ones.

I wear a size 10 in most shoes. In Danskos I wear a 42. I was told at the shop that you should be able to slide a finger in the back of the shoe at your heel to gauge the proper fit. I can also tell from experience that you must try these shoes on in person and not purchase over the internet unless you don't mind returning them if they don't fit. They're sewn by hand individually and each pair of shoes may not fit the same. I tried on a beautiful pair in the store and was so disappointed because while they both said they were a size 42 the left one fit perfectly but I could not even get my right foot inside the shoe.

I bought a 40 and I usually wear a 9.5. They fit beautifully. I've been walking around in them at home to make sure (bought them online).

I usually wear a 7.5. I bought a size 39 in my Danskos- a size bigger. I went shopping after a regular shift and wanted the shoes to feel good then, which they did. If my feet swell, there is a little room.

Agreed that they fit differently. Many Dansko styles are hand made. I had to try on two or three of the same style in the same size to find the perfect pair.

I have three Danskos and two of them are 38 and the other is 37. I usually wear a 7.5. Definitely try on before you buy. They vary slightly.

[h=4]I just had to send my SECOND Dansko's back because they just didn't fit!!! I was really disappointed because I really wanted a pair. I own a pair of Sanita's so I may get another pair. Here is the fit guide from Dansko's and this is appropriate for either brand your buy. It is best to go to a store and buy them. The prices are pretty comparable as the ones online.

REMEMBER! Most people have two different sized feet. Be sure to try on both clogs and fit them to the larger foot.
