I was wonder what your school policies are as in (cut and copy the text below and fill it in.
----
Your schools minimum passing grade?
Your Lab policy? Is it a seperate grade from your lecture? If so how many points/exams do you have?
If you fail a course when are allowed to re-take it?
How many times can you re-take a course until you are expelled?
-----
As for me....
Your schools minimum passing grade? 80% and above is passing (it was 75 until 2yrs ago)
Your Lab policy? Is it a seperate grade from your lecture? If so how many points/exams do you have? In the first semester you have about 10 quizes and checkoffs which are all worth points. Once you pass lecture they add in your lab points and you must have a combined total of 80% in lab and lecture points. Every semester past that... you have 2 prep point quizs for 6-points; 80% below on the combined totaly YOU FAIL... then you have 4 mod quizes and 2 checkoffs for 50 points; 80 below for the total and YOU FAIL.
If you fail a course when are allowed to re-take it? You are allowed fail once and if you fail any class after that you are out of the program and you must wait a year before you can retake

Your Lab policy? Is it a seperate grade from your lecture? If so how many points/exams do you have? It is included in the lecture grade. We have a lab practical the end of the quarter worth 10% of the course grade. We have check offs but they are not for a grade. You have to pass your check off to be allowed to go to clinical.
If you fail a course when are allowed to re-take it? You have to take a year off, and reapply to the school of nursing. They only take 4 re-applicants a year.
How many times can you re-take a course until you are expelled? If you fail out and get accepted back in that is your last try.

Wow! Only 4-re applicants! Thats harsh. Do you have to wait a year or can you retake your class sooner?

You have to wait a whole year before you can even reapply. Then you retake your course with the next class year. If you are accepted back you have to start with the quarter prior to flunking out. Yes it is very harsh, they definitely scare you out of flunking.

Clinical is pass/fail. It's not a separate grade from the lecture.
So basically, our course grade is our lecture grade, but we don't pass the class if we don't pass the clinical portion.
We have check-offs in certain skills each semester, but these aren't graded.
Yes, on a space-available basis.
I believe you can only re-take a course once.

your schools minimum passing grade? c+ or 75
your lab policy? is it a seperate grade from your lecture? if so how many points/exams do you have? our lab classes are completely seperate classes, you actually have to register for the class seperately so it counts like a regular class, the clinicals are p/f and go with the lecture.
if you fail a course when are allowed to re-take it? you can and have to get a b or higher.
how many times can you re-take a course until you are expelled? you can take one course once and then you're out.

Lab is included as part of the clinical, which is a pass/fail class. To get a passing grade, we have to get checked off on 90% of lab skills and pass 76% of clinical tasks/assignments.
On a space-available basis, as early as the next semester.
You can retake one course one time.
