Saunders 4th Ed by Silvestri (or newer one if you want) (For content review)

Kaplan Strategies, Practice, and Review 2011-2012 (To understand how to answer the questions)

Prioritization Delegation and Assignment by Linda LaCharity (A MUST for practice questions)

Exam Cram Practice Questions (for practice questions)

....I haven't taken the NCLEX yet, but I've done my research. This is what works for me....You may have to look into different practice questions though. Everyone prefers different books. They are all on Amazon for pretty cheap.

What I am currently using for my review:

Comprehensive review for the NCLEX RN by Mary Ann Hogan - Not too popular but for me the way she and her colleagues wrote every chapter is very helpful. The only downside for me is there are too much information on it but no harm reading those. And then I incorporate Kaplan's RN Course book and Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Lacharity. For my practice exam I am using Exam cram plus Hogans CD. I also bought Lippincott's Allternate exam question book but planning to answer it a week before my exam date. But the best thing you should read is the BIBLE. Goodluck and God bless us all!!!:smokin:

I just took my NCLEX today. The LaCharity book previously mentioned is a must. Other than that I don't think it matters what book you use for content. I used Kaplan 2010-2011 Strategies and Saunders 4th Edition CD for review. I personally felt that LaCharity was the most useful for preparation. The others are good just so you have lots of different questions to answer.

How was the exam? You're right, doesn't matter what books you read/choose as long as you understand whats written on it.:yeah:

I agree with the BIBLE. Knowing you have God on your side will help your confidence. Good Luck to all!
